OVER
ARM SEPARATOR DISC : In any slitting line used for cutting
of hard materials the there is slitter head (usual the knife)
and the recoiled. After the slitting cutting is performed many
strands come out of the slitter head. these strands are also to
be coiled separately and neatly to protect the edges and
packaging of such becomes easier before it it shipped to the
user To achieve this the OVER ARM SEPERATOR DISC are
used. These overarm separator disc are mounted on a different
shaft which is lifted hydraulically as the narrow width coil keep
winding. Over arm separator provides the distance between the
narrow coils and protect the edges and also helps in efficient
packaging and handling of the finished material after the
slitting operation has been performed. Due to the separator disc
being used to total width of the slitting coils is much more as
compared to to the wide width coil which is called fan out.
Fan-out is directly proportional to the number of strands being
used.
